Understanding Sensory Processing and Self-Regulation
17 February, 2027 @ 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm
Sensory processing involves the body receiving a sensation, and the brain working out what it is and then how to respond. Understanding sensory preferences and providing opportunities to access sensory preferences supports people with Autism to maintain a calm or alert state, and to be able to join in with everyday activities.
In this webinar, you will learn about over-responsive and under-responsive reactions to sensory stimuli and explore alerting strategies and calming strategies to aid with self-regulation.
