A Night to Celebrate our Endorsed Clubs

Recently we had our Autism in Cricket Endorsed Club Night at the WACA Ground. It was a great evening, celebrating our Endorsed Clubs and all the amazing work they do creating inclusive sporting environments and opportunities for individuals with Autism and their families to participate in the cricket community.

First up let’s start by introducing our 2021/2022 season Endorsed Clubs!

To get the ball rolling, we heard from our Autism in Cricket Ambassador, Adam Gilchrist, advocate and Australian player, Boyd Duffield and WA Cricket’s Inclusion and Diversity Specialist, Jade Wylie, about the importance of inclusion in cricket, their experiences in the industry and how far we have come since the start of the program in 2019.

Throughout the night, we presented each of our Autism in Cricket Endorsed Clubs in attendance with a Certificate of Endorsement. Upon receiving their award, they had a chat with Gilly, sharing their experiences throughout the season and what being an endorsed club means to them.

A big thank you to all of our Endorsed Clubs for coming out and WA Cricket for having us. It was a fantastic evening, sharing stories and experiences in the cricket community and the importance of inclusion in sport for all.

The upcoming season is looking to be full of excitement and we can’t wait to continue working with our Endorsed Clubs to create inclusion for all in the cricket community.
