Conference Themes

APAC 2025 will bring together researchers, practitioners, educators, physicians, policymakers, Autistic people and their families to present research and best practice approaches in the field of Autism. More information about each of these themes can be found on the APAC website.

Children, Adolescents and Education

Educators, teachers, specialists, researchers, family members, and Autistic individuals are dedicated to creating inclusive learning environments for Autistic students where they can thrive. This stream will provide a platform to share insights, research, experiences, and evidence-based practices that support these ends.

Adults, Quality of Life, Employment and Community Living

As the understanding of Autism has evolved, so too has the recognition of the unique needs and contributions of individuals on the Autism Spectrum.

The APAC 2025 Program at a Glance is now available, showcasing key conference themes and session topics.

The conference program will focus on the journey from awareness to acceptance, advancing to appreciation, and driving action to help build a society that values, respects and appreciates all people with Autism.

Throughout the event, we will explore how individuals, organisations, and entire nations are progressing through these stages, with real-world examples showcasing each phase of development.

Papers will cover a wide range of topics, with many providing practical solutions and strategies for delegates to take away and use within their communities.

This includes, but is not limited to, supporting children and adolescents in educational settings, improving the quality of life for adults through employment and community living, and empowering families and communities to lead positive change.

A central theme will be the adoption of strengths-based approaches for individuals with Autism. The conference will encourage attendees to apply these insights to foster a culture of acceptance and appreciation of all people with Autism to achieve genuine inclusion and equity, so that they are respected and valued equally within the community.
