Kicking Off 2026 With Our Regional Holiday Therapy Program
We started the year by welcoming familiar and new faces to our Regional Intensive Holiday Therapy Program, developed specifically for regional and remote families.
Coming Together to Learn, Play and Connect
Our Shenton Park hub became a hive of activity as children from across WA – alongside their parents, carers, and siblings – joined us to build skills, strategies, confidence and connections in a supportive space across five days.
Throughout the week, families and their therapists created individual support plans and collaborated through coaching sessions on strategies to put in practice day to day.
Independence and Teamwork
The week also included one-on-one therapy sessions where children worked on their individual goals and skill development through tailored activities like storytelling, LEGO® building and group games.
Making music, testing out science experiments, customising kebabs and creating playdough from scratch – with a focus on turn-taking, social interaction and sensory exploration – were on the timetable at our group therapy sessions.
Parents and carers had the opportunity to connect through a coffee morning and collaborative workshop while their children attended the program.
Wrapping Up the Week
We ended the week with a “warm fuzzies” paper chain activity as everyone looked back on their favourite moments.
The program then wrapped up with each child receiving a certificate to celebrate their achievements and progress over the last five days.
It was wonderful seeing so many new friendships form and connections continue between children and families.

The January program followed a successful session in July; and visits to regional areas across Western Australia by our Regional team throughout 2025, where our therapists provided training and consultation to local communities.
We are already looking forward to welcoming regional families back in July this year for the next program.
