July Holiday Therapy Program Brings Regional Families Together
During the July school holidays, we welcomed families from across regional and remote WA to our Shenton Park hub for the Regional Intensive Holiday Therapy Program.
Both familiar and new faces joined us in Perth for the week-long program. Returning children, parents and siblings were excited to reunite with their friends and favourite therapists from previous programs; while our first-time families looked forward to the new experiences that their week would hold.
Over the next five days, each child and their family worked with our Therapy team to build their skills, increase their confidence, and focus on the goals they wanted to achieve. Together, they created personalised support plans and strategies for families to use in everyday life back home.
Group and one-on-one therapy sessions were held across the week, all designed so that plenty of fun and play was had along the way.
By teaming up to make nachos, play balloon games, explore textures through sensory play and much more, children enjoyed working on their motor, social interaction, sensory exploration and turn-taking skills.
During one-on-one therapy sessions, they worked on their individual goals through activities like bubble-blowing, storytelling, and outdoor play.
While the children were busy building skills and friendships, parents and carers did some learning and bonding of their own through a coffee morning and collaborative workshop.
We wrapped up Regional week by celebrating all our families’ achievements over the last five days, with each child receiving a certificate to recognise the milestones they had reached.
It was fantastic to see how far everyone had come in such a short time, making lasting memories alongside their progress.
The program is always a special time for families and our team – one of the biggest highlights being the new friendships that form and the connections between children, families, and therapists that grow year on year.

This program followed a fantastic session in January, and we are already looking forward to welcoming regional families back from 11th-15th January 2027 and 12th-16th July 2027 for the next sessions.
