As the only specialist Autism employment service in Australia, we provide comprehensive support to Autistic individuals to increase their independence and find jobs matched to their individual goals, skills, and abilities.
We are the only Autism specialist contracted Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) provider in Australia and provide a range of individualised employment supports across the Perth metropolitan area. We are also registered with the NDIS to provide employment support, finding and keeping a job, School Leaver Supports (SLES) and Specialised Supported Employment.
How We Support You
We provide you with comprehensive support to prepare for, find, and maintain employment in a job that is matched to your goals, skills and abilities.
Our team works together with you throughout your employment pathway to achieve your goals. From finding employment opportunities to on-the-job training and ongoing support tailored to your needs. This may include:
- Career planning and goal setting.
- Identifying and overcoming any barriers to achieving your employment goals.
- Exploring and accessing training opportunities.
- Exploring and accessing work experience and volunteer opportunities
- Accessing any other appropriate support agencies.
- Your resume, job applications and job interviews.
- Putting you forward for jobs.
- Presentation and fitting in at work.
- Providing training to employers
- Making sure you are safe at work and paid correctly
- Overcoming any problems that may arise
- Taking opportunities to develop your career where possible
The AIM Employment Program
As one of Australia’s leading specialist Autism providers, we have been providing Autism specialist employment services in Perth for more than 25 years. As the only Autism specialist Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) provider in Australia, our AIM Employment program is a specialist employment service that focuses on supporting Autistic individuals to secure and maintain open employment.
The Autism Association’s AIM Employment program moved from the former Disability Employment Services (DES) model and commenced delivering the new national Inclusive Employment Australia program as an Autism specialist across the Perth metropolitan area and Mandurah in November 2025.

School Leaver Employment Support
We provide individualised pathways to employment and/or further education for students in their final years of school. Our School Transition Service is available to help you prepare for work while you are still at school, or to support your transition from school to the world of employment. This can include:
- Traineeships/apprenticeships
- Part-time employment whilst at school
- Work experience
- Pathways to further education, such as University and TAFE
- Skill development sessions such as life skills and job skills
It doesn’t matter if you feel you face some challenges moving from school to work or even if you’re not sure what you want to do, that’s OK, we are here to support you along the way.
School leaver support is provided as part of your NDIS plan.
Work Assist Program
Work Assist is a support service that provides ongoing workplace support to employees with disability, injury or illness. Work Assist is funded by the Australian Government and is available at no cost to employees and employers.
If you are already in a job and you feel that your job security is at risk because your disability is affecting you at work – our Work Assist Program is here to support you. Work Assist assigns you a Specialist Employment Consultant for at least 6 months and up to 1 year to help you overcome the challenges that you are facing at work. If you feel like you could do with some help, then please do act by contacting us.
If you are an employer who has an Autistic employee who is facing some challenges at work at the moment, we will assign a Specialist Employment Consultant to work with you and your staff member to help all parties find solutions to remain in their employment.
Accessing our services
Disability Employment Services (DES) and the NDIS are both funded by the Federal Government.
These services work together to ensure people with Autism receive support specific to their interests and needs to reach their employment goals. Depending on your funding and individual circumstance, you may be able to be supported by both of these employment services.
