The Autism Association of WA provide a number of supports to families and organisations living in regional and remote areas of Western Australia.
Services and Supports for Regional Communities
Each year, we travel to a number of regional areas to deliver training, workshops and therapy consultation and provide therapy support options for families. Find out more about the range of services available for regional and remote communities below.

WA Regional Visits
Across the year we travel to a number of regional areas to deliver training, workshops and consultation to families and community organisations.
During these visits our team offers a number of training workshops for families; as well as opportunities for face-to-face specialist consultations. Additional workshops are also provided to the community to increase awareness and understanding of Autism and to educators and teachers to support inclusion of students with Autism.

- Geraldton | 9th to the 12th of June
- Albany | 23rd to the 26th of June
- Esperance | 4th to the 7th of August
- Karratha | 18th to the 22nd of August
- Broome | 8th to the 11th of September
- Kalgoorlie | 3rd to the 6th of November – Registrations now open
- Bunbury | 24th to the 27th of November – Registrations now open

Regional Therapy Support Options
Our Therapy Service provides support to families living in regional and remote areas of Western Australia through individualised therapy, training and education, consultancy and holiday programs.
Regional Intensive Holiday Program
For one week in the school holidays we have our Regional Intensive Program running for children and their families. We have 2 programs available:
- First Steps for Autism – Early Intervention program for children up to 7 years of age
- School Aged program – for children 8 to 13 years of age

Workshops and Webinars for Regional Communities
We have a range of workshops and webinars available for families and professionals living in regional areas. Face-to-face workshops will also be available in some regional towns during visits throughout the year. See upcoming workshops and webinars below.
