Short Breaks
Short Breaks provides the opportunity for children to spend the weekend with peers who have similar interests and engage in their favourite activities while building independence.
A home away from home
Short Breaks provides a home away from home, where a small group of children and adolescents aged 6 to 18 years old, can stay on weekends or school holidays to do the things they enjoy, explore friendships and build confidence and independence.
Our welcoming Short Breaks homes are located across the Perth Metropolitan area. Stays take place during the weekend or school holidays are booked in advance, allowing families to relax in the knowledge that their child is happy and well cared for.

What is included in the breaks?
To ensure everyone has an enjoyable stay, children are carefully matched based on age, gender, support needs, and interests. Where possible your child is grouped with the same children each time to provide the opportunity to form friendships with people outside their family and school.
Each child also has their own private bedroom, so they can enjoy their own space and bring their personal belongings to make it their home away from home.
Our caring and experienced staff understand Autism and get to know your child to ensure they are supported in the way that suits their interests, needs and routines. Each respite experience is intended to create positive associations and maximise the likelihood your child will want to return time and time again!
